Deadlines– Deadlines should always be a priority. Get signatures, checks, and mail sent on time. Fill out forms and contracts thoroughly and double check them. You don’t need delays because of a forgotten signature.
Smooth Showings– Make sure you know alarm codes. You don’t need the police at your showing embarrassing your client and wasting their time. Make sure directions and GPS coordinates are accurate. Check the route yourself. Know if there are pets in the house. If there’s a cancellation, let everyone know ahead of time. Home owners will feel abused if they are out for hours for nothing.
Professional Appearance– And of course, dress the part of a leading California Realtor. Wear a suit and tie, dress or pant suit. Look like a business professional. Show up in a washed car. Make sure it’s clean inside, too.
Phones and Tech– Turn them off during meetings. Nothing should have your attention besides your client. Don’t look at a tablet or a laptop unless you’re sharing something with the client. Don’t even check your texts. Leave your smartphone in your pocket.
